Wallowa Lake and Joseph (March 2011)
This was our first vacation with just the three of us. We have backpacked twice in the Wallowas (Eagle Cap Wilderness) and love this part of Oregon. We decided to return during the snowy season, and found a cute little cabin by Wallowa Lake.
Finally, a chair big enough for Nick!
Joseph, Oregon....there's a reason why they call this part of Oregon "Little Switzerland."

We managed to get out snowshoeing before Layla got the croup.
On the way home, a stop at our favorite coffee place in Lostine, Oregon. Poor Layla is sick but still posed in the banana for us.

Layla learned to crawl in March (the day she turned 9 months old) and hasn't stopped moving since.
We were lucky to get a visit from Marisa and Emilia during their spring visit from Switzerland. Friends since 6th grade, and now our daughters are just 1 month apart!
This is what happens when we put food on Layla's tray.
